To renew your membership please send a cheque of €6.99 (Lm3) payable to The Maltese Association of Science Educators (MASE) to MASE Treasurer,  Sylvia, St Luke Street, Marsaskala MSK1044. If any of your personal details changed from last year, kindly fill in the membership form (which can be downloaded from the Membership section on this website) and send it together with your cheque.

MASE held the seminar entitled “MATSEC: A Good Assessment System?” at St. Aloysius College, B’Kara. The discussion was led by Dr. Josette Farrugia and Prof. Frank Ventura from the MATSEC office. Members present were given a historical overview of the MATSEC office, the role of the MATSEC board and its academic and operational branches.

6th February 2008

MASE is planning to open its list of events for this year by organising a seminar for all its members on Friday 29th February at 6.30pm at St. Aloysius College, B’Kara. The title of this seminar is ‘MATSEC: A Good Assessment System?’ The purpose of the seminar is to provide a forum where issues concerning MATSEC examinations in the different science subjects can be given thoughtful consideration.


During the seminar the MASE committee will put forward questions or suggestions which the members would like to ask/suggest to MATSEC with regards to the MATSEC papers in different science subjects


These questions/suggestions will have to be forwarded to MASE previously. So you are encourage to send your queries and comments by not later than the 22nd of February.
